Youth
At Wyckoff Reformed Church, we are passionate about partnering with families as they grow in faith together. The middle and high school years are filled with growth, questions, challenges, and change. We know that students need spaces of their own where they can build friendships, ask honest questions, explore their faith, and encounter the love of Christ in meaningful ways. We hope to provide that through our youth ministry.
Youth Group | Grades 6–12
Our combined Jr./Sr. High Youth Group meets every Sunday evening from 7:00–8:30pm in the WRC Youth Room. All students in grades 6–12 are welcome!
A typical night includes:
Worship
A message or student testimony
Small group discussion
Games, snacks, and time together
Whether your student has grown up in church or is just beginning to explore faith, we would love for them to join us. Our prayer is that students would not simply attend Youth Group, but would grow into young men and women who know Jesus, love others, and live out their faith with courage and compassion.
Missions & Service
We want our students to discover the joy of living with purpose and serving others in the name of Christ. Throughout the year, students have opportunities to use their gifts, grow as leaders, and serve both our church and local community.
Some of our ongoing opportunities include:
Serving in children’s ministry and Sunday School
Student leadership roles within youth group
Monthly food packing for Northside Food Pantry
Serving lunches at North Reformed Church in Newark on fifth Sundays
A yearly week-long summer mission trip
Additional seasonal service opportunities for students and families

Mission Trips & Retreats
Every year, we take a winter weekend retreat and a mission trip in the summer. These are great times for students to independently grow in their faith alongside peers.

Confirmation
A four-month discipleship program where students meet weekly to explore the foundations of the Christian faith, grow in their relationship with Christ, and build community together through classes and retreats.
Volunteers
We are blessed with many faithful volunteers who love and teach our kids, but we’re always looking for more! Do you love kids? Do you want to be part of creating a safe and hospitable space for our littlest ones to come to Jesus? Do you have a passion for raising up the next generation in the Lord? We’d love to add you to the team!
