Serving at WRC

We believe that every Christian has been called to join in God's mission for the world. That may lead some of us to the far corners of the earth. Far more of us live out that calling by asking: “What is God doing in my neighborhood/workplace/school, and how can I join in?"

Answering that question has sent us out into our community and the world in a variety of ways. We currently support about 30 different missions—some local, some national, and some international. We also have regular opportunities to serve in various capacities in our church. Below you'll find a sample of those missions.

  • Green's Farms Church (GFC) main entry with congregants entering, greeted by Usher, Peter Jennings

    Global Missions

We support missions and missionaries in Thailand, Oman, East Africa, and South Africa as well as Opportunity International and their work to end extreme poverty across the globe. Through these partnerships the Gospel is proclaimed in both word and deed.

  • Green's Farms Church (GFC) Meetinghouse

    Northside Food Pantry

Partnering with Northside Community CRC we store, pack, and deliver food to help feed the hungry in north Paterson, NJ.

  • Children of all ages are welcome at Green's Farms Church (GFC)

    Giving Garden

Our Giving Garden exists to provide Oasis: A Haven for Women and Children with fresh vegetables in order to feed the hungry. We tend and harvest the produce here at WRC and deliver it to Oasis in Paterson. Help is always needed planting, watering, weeding, and picking!

  • Two people wearing masks stand on a wooden porch, working on a project with tools and materials nearby. The house has blue siding, and the sky is partly cloudy.

    Mission Trips

Every year our high school youth spend a week following Jesus by serving those who are in need. We also have occasional mission trips for adults.

  • A person using tongs to serve food from a buffet tray filled with various dishes, with more trays of food visible in the background.

    Walk-in Dinners

Several times each year we cook and serve meals for about 150 people at the Hackensack shelter through Family Promise.

  • A woman with long red hair singing or speaking into a microphone in a church or auditorium, with an open book on a nearby table.

    Other Opportunities

There are also plenty of opportunities to serve within the congregation: teaching, repairing, singing, visiting, calling, planting, and many more! All are welcome to come and serve God alongside us.
