"Bucky" Pizzarelli and Ed Laub in Concert

World renowned jazz guitarist Bucky “The Complete Jazz Musician” Pizzarelli along with guitarist/vocalist Ed Laub, will release their first CD   together this fall, will appear in concert at The Wyckoff Reformed Church (WRC) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, October 26.

Though still a few months away, because of the celebrity of Pizzarelli and Laub, this third in the WRC series of live jazz and blues concerts is expected to be a sold out event and those hoping to attend are advised to “save the date,” and plan to purchase tickets well in advance.

With a career spanning over 60 years, from the Vaughn Monroe Orchestra to the Johnny Carson Tonight Show and including White House performances with Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, and Claude “Fiddler” Williams, with Presidents Reagan and Clinton added to the list, Pizzarelli is deemed “jazz royalty.”

Last year, Pizzarelli became one of the very first musicians in New Jersey to have two of his guitars, along with a recorded history of his lifetime in music, inducted into the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC.

Also, Pizzarelli recently finished recording Paul McCartney’s new album, “Kisses on the Bottom.”

Laub, who plays concerts and clubs throughout the New York Metropolitan area, including at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Les Paul  Museum, and the Annual Elkhart Jazz Festival is a regular at Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich Village, and has for the past 12 years been a      consistent playing partner with his mentor and friend, Bucky Pizzarelli.

Tickets to this event are on sale between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at The Wyckoff Reformed Church office, 580 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff.
