This class is designed for children who will be 2 by September 30th. This is a special time for Moms and their children to interact with crafts, music & games. The children are encouraged to interact with each other while playing with age-appropriate toys. Grandparents, dads, caregivers, etc. are welcome to accompany the child.

This class is specifically designed for children who will be 2 1/2 by September 30th.
The class focuses on separating from parents, introduction to socializing and sharing, as well as following simple instruction. As the children progress throughout the year they will be introduced to skills that will ready them for the nursery level.

This class is offered to children who are 3 years old by September 30th. The class focuses on socializing, language development, following directions, sharing and listening skills. The curriculum involves literacy, reading readiness, math readiness, art, and music. Our activities are geared to enhance all aspects of small and large motor development. Alphabet and number recognition will be introduced at this level.

This class is designed for children who are 4 years old by September 30th. The Houghton Mifflin Math and Literacy Program has been implemented for this class. This thematic-based curriculum includes alphabet and number recognition, and readiness in the writing, reading and math. Computer, art, and music will also be offered at this level.

This class is a hands-on, thematic-based program. Each month the children will explore different topics through books, projects, experiments and computers. The children will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch with their classmates. Parents provide lunch. The program meets weekly either Tuesday or Thursday from 11:30 to 2:45pm.

This class is designed for 5 and 6 year old children. WRCNS has implemented “The Land of the Letter People” curriculum and Balanced Literacy, currently being used by the Wyckoff Public School System. This curriculum will address oral language, alphabetic knowledge with word recognition, writing and reading comprehension. This thematic and integrated approach will be used in math, science, art and music. In this enrichment class we will also incorporate the Orton-Gillingham Multi Sensory approach to reading.

This program provides the student the opportunity to extend their school day while socializing with their peers. Lunch and Play is offered to Nursery and Pre-K students only. Teacher directed games and activities, as well as outdoor play, will be offered. This program is offered daily from 11:30—2:00 pm. Lunch only is 11:30 am to 12:15 pm. Parents provide lunch.
